The Final Fantasy 7
The landmark Final Fantasy series is perhaps the best known role-playing game franchise in the world. Its complex game mechanics, gripping storylines and unforgettable characters add to its legendary status among video games. The name Final Fantasy itself is famous for not being intentional: the designer of the first game believed it would be his last product ever and was surprised that it became a hit! Millions of teenagers worldwide have helped make Final Fantasy into the most renowned Japanese RPG of all time.
Final Fantasy 7 was the first game in the series to feature a science-fiction setting (the previous ones were medieval themed) and 3D graphics. Released in 1997 on the Playstation, Final Fantasy 7 has a neat battle system, a giant world map to explore, fun mini-games, and an army of loveable characters to recruit in your fight against the Shinra Corporation. The game’s main downsides are the confusing plot, poor translation, and linear progression.
